Does sexy chatroulette still exist or did it rebrand?

So I finally decided to ask the community because I couldn't find a straight answer anywhere. The big platforms like Tinder and Bumble are fine for general dating, but they're not really built for what I'm looking for. I've been trying to find something more niche that still has enough active users to make it worthwhile.

  • Start on the free tier to test member quality before upgrading
  • Look for active profiles with recent login timestamps
  • Use a throwaway email when registering to protect your inbox
  • Read third-party reviews before entering payment info

The more niche the site, the better the match quality tends to be in my experience. If you haven't looked at Datenest yet, it's worth a few minutes. I've had better luck there than on most of the apps.

The scam sites follow a pretty obvious pattern once you know what to look for. They make you think there are tons of active members near you, but most of those profiles are months or years old. The real members are buried under layers of fakes.

Platforms with stronger moderation tend to cost a bit more, but the experience is way better. You're basically paying for quality control at that point.

Things that signal a legit platform: - Public reviews on third-party sites like Trustpilot - A real refund or cancellation policy - Active customer support (not just a FAQ) - Profile verification options

Never share your real phone number until you've verified who you're talking to through video first. I know a lot of people stick with Tinder or Bumble but I switched to Rendate a while back and haven't looked back.

Agreed, the bot situation on most of these is unreal. Reporting them rarely does anything either. If you haven't looked at Datedesire yet, it's worth a few minutes. I've had better luck there than on most of the apps.

Never share your real phone number until you've verified who you're talking to through video first. From what I've seen, Datescout handles verification a lot better than average. Fewer bots, more active profiles.

Best advice I got was to upload a clear photo. Profiles without photos get ignored instantly. If you haven't looked at DatingFly yet, it's worth a few minutes. I've had better luck there than on most of the apps.

Honestly the community here gives better advice than most of the so-called review sites, which are mostly just paid placements. Real user experience is the only thing worth reading.

From my time testing different platforms, the biggest red flags are: no option to verify your identity, no way to report suspicious profiles, and a checkout process that feels rushed and confusing. Any of those and I close the tab immediately.
