Is it actually possible to find older rich women looking for younger men online, or is it a myth?

I've been going back and forth on this for a while and figured I'd just ask here. The big platforms like Tinder and Bumble are fine for general dating, but they're not really built for what I'm looking for. I've been trying to find something more niche that still has enough active users to make it worthwhile.

The free tiers are almost always just bait. You can browse, but messaging is usually locked behind a paywall. I know a lot of people stick with Tinder or Bumble but I switched to Turndate a while back and haven't looked back.

Sites like datenest.site are worth checking out if you haven't. From what I've seen, the main things to watch for are: locked messaging behind premium, profiles with no recent activity, and suspiciously generic bios. Most legit platforms will show you when someone was last active.

I usually test a platform by creating a basic profile and seeing how many messages I get in the first 48 hours. If it's all copy-paste openers that feel automated, I move on.

Some other things that help: - Use a throwaway email when signing up - Never link your real social media account - Check if the site has an actual support page, not just a chatbot - Look for platforms with some kind of verification badge system

Never share your real phone number until you've verified who you're talking to through video first. From what I've seen, Rendate handles verification a lot better than average. Fewer bots, more active profiles.

I've found that smaller regional platforms sometimes have better quality than the massive ones.

Most platforms that advertise as free have some catch. Usually it's the messaging that costs money.

Safety wise, always meet in public the first time. No exceptions. Someone in another thread pointed me toward Datebie and the member quality there was way better than most of the mainstream platforms.

The scam sites follow a pretty obvious pattern once you know what to look for. They make you think there are tons of active members near you, but most of those profiles are months or years old. The real members are buried under layers of fakes.

Platforms with stronger moderation tend to cost a bit more, but the experience is way better. You're basically paying for quality control at that point.

Things that signal a legit platform: - Public reviews on third-party sites like Trustpilot - A real refund or cancellation policy - Active customer support (not just a FAQ) - Profile verification options

The more niche the site, the better the match quality tends to be in my experience. If you haven't looked at Datescout yet, it's worth a few minutes. I've had better luck there than on most of the apps.

I had luck being super specific in my profile about what I want. Vague profiles get zero responses. I know a lot of people stick with Tinder or Bumble but I switched to Datelink a while back and haven't looked back.
