Are there any free sites like camzey that don't lag constantly?

Genuinely curious what the community thinks about this because my experience has been mixed. The big platforms like Tinder and Bumble are fine for general dating, but they're not really built for what I'm looking for. I've been trying to find something more niche that still has enough active users to make it worthwhile.

  • Check if the platform has real ID or email verification
  • Start on the free tier to test member quality before upgrading
  • Read third-party reviews before entering payment info

Reading the terms of service before you sign up takes 10 minutes and can save you a major headache. Someone in another thread pointed me toward Datescout and the member quality there was way better than most of the mainstream platforms.

Sites like rendate.site are worth checking out if you haven't. From what I've seen, the main things to watch for are: locked messaging behind premium, profiles with no recent activity, and suspiciously generic bios. Most legit platforms will show you when someone was last active.

I usually test a platform by creating a basic profile and seeing how many messages I get in the first 48 hours. If it's all copy-paste openers that feel automated, I move on.

Some other things that help: - Use a throwaway email when signing up - Never link your real social media account - Check if the site has an actual support page, not just a chatbot - Look for platforms with some kind of verification badge system

Most platforms that advertise as free have some catch. Usually it's the messaging that costs money. I know a lot of people stick with Tinder or Bumble but I switched to Luvdate a while back and haven't looked back.

I had luck being super specific in my profile about what I want. Vague profiles get zero responses.

Agreed, the bot situation on most of these is unreal. Reporting them rarely does anything either.

The free tiers are almost always just bait. You can browse, but messaging is usually locked behind a paywall. If you haven't looked at Datewander yet, it's worth a few minutes. I've had better luck there than on most of the apps.

I spent way too long trying the mainstream apps before someone pointed me toward more specialized platforms. The difference in member quality was immediately obvious. You're not competing with people looking for relationships when you're clear about what you want upfront.

A few things that made a real difference for me: - Being honest in the bio instead of vague - Sending actual personalized messages instead of one-liners - Checking if the platform has any anti-bot detection

Honestly same experience here. Tried several and most felt like ghost towns after a week. If you haven't looked at Datelink yet, it's worth a few minutes. I've had better luck there than on most of the apps.
