Last updated 26 August 2026. This policy explains what WishMood collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Account data you provide: email address, profile details, photos and location at the level you set it.
• Usage data: pages viewed, approximate region derived from IP, device and browser type.
• Messages you send through the platform, retained so conversations persist between sessions.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for payment card details, because there is nothing to pay for. We do not collect government identification.

How it is used

To operate matching and messaging, to keep the platform free of spam and abuse, and to measure aggregate usage. Partner links elsewhere on the site are ordinary outbound links; those third parties have their own policies.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while the account is open. You can request deletion at any time through the contact page; we action removal within 30 days except where retention is legally required.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection. We apply these regardless of jurisdiction.

Cookies

We use functional cookies to keep you signed in and remember display preferences. You can block them in your browser; parts of the site will stop working if you do.

Children

WishMood is 18+. See the 18+ policy. If we learn an account belongs to a minor it is removed immediately and the associated data is deleted rather than archived.

Sharing

We do not sell member data. We share it only with infrastructure providers who host and deliver the site, and only to the extent needed to run it. Outbound links to partner dating services are ordinary links: those companies do not receive your profile, your messages or your email address from us.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfect; if a breach affects member data we will say so publicly and directly rather than burying it in a policy update.

International transfers

The service is available in 187 countries, so data may be processed outside the country you live in. Where that happens we apply the same handling standards described on this page regardless of jurisdiction.

Questions about your data

Access, correction and deletion requests go through the contact page and are actioned within 30 days.
