I stopped bothering with whichever customize my dating app came up first and half the accounts looked inactive. The bit I cannot work out is whether it is worth paying at any point when you have already tried the obvious options.
If you want a shortcut: stop opening with a compliment. Everything else is secondary to that. No downside I have found.

That has not been my experience at all. Being picky early saved me far more time than being open-minded did. Your experience may well differ. Not dismissing anyone else's experience.
