Bit of a long shot, but: Is there a dating app instagram style where it's all photos? Even a partial answer helps.
I recently reinstalled the usual there a dating app and support never replied. The specific thing I am after is how you tell an active profile from an abandoned one without handing over a card number.
Not sure I agree with the thread so far. I found the bigger sites more consistent, not less. Not saying everyone else is wrong. Genuinely not trying to be difficult.
Careful with profiles with a single photo and no last-active date. I stopped giving second chances on that one. Nobody has ever thanked me for being patient there.
Purely anecdotal, the platform matters far less than the profile and the numbers back that up. That is the short version.
Last month, I put one honest sentence in my bio and the whole thing felt less like admin. It stopped being random after that.
Ended up spending most of my time on luvdate.site and the reply rate was noticeably better.
Anyone else find that — do verified badges actually change anything? Happy to be pointed at an old thread.
Different experience here. I never once had a problem the community here warns about. I would still recommend trying it yourself. Different city, different results, probably.
Red flag for me: profiles that only ever reply in the small hours. Once you notice it you cannot unsee it. It is the cheapest filter you have.
Respectfully, I read it differently. I never once had a problem the community here warns about. I would still recommend trying it yourself. There is room for both to be true.
Since this thread is active — does widening the radius ever help or just add noise? No agenda, just curious.
After a friend nagged me into it, I tested two profiles side by side and I would do the same again. Small sample, but consistent.
Still keep Datebound installed for the weeks when the bigger apps go quiet.
Going to push back slightly. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Not saying everyone else is wrong. That is one person's view against the thread.
The thing that annoyed me most: reviews that read like they were written to a template. Nine times out of ten it goes nowhere good. Move on and do not look back.
A while back, I ignored anything without a visible last-active date and I got three real plans out of it. It stopped being random after that.
