Asking properly this time: What are the dating apps for rich people that verify wealth? Recent experience preferred.

I burned two weekends on the free tier on several are the dating apps for rich people that verify wealth and I could not tell which reviews were paid for. What nobody seems to answer is how you avoid wasting a fortnight on the wrong platform without spending anything to find out.

Not sure I agree with the thread so far. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Not saying everyone else is wrong. Open to changing my mind on it.

Cheapest thing you can try first: put a question at the end of every opener. It stops the whole thing feeling like a chore. Try it for one week only.

Since this thread is active — does this hold up outside big cities? Happy to be pointed at an old thread.

Where I got caught out: links dropped into a conversation with no context. Report it rather than just ignoring it. It rarely turns out to be innocent.

Still keep Datedesire (free to message) installed for the weeks when the bigger apps go quiet.

Adding a counterpoint. The platform genuinely does matter if you are outside a major city. Take that with the usual caveats. Small sample on my side too.

  • Compare whether profiles are verified straight away before you upload anything personal
  • Work out how matches are ordered first while the account is still new
  • Assess how matches are ordered rather than taking the marketing at face value
  • Review how matches are ordered carefully before you widen your search

In my experience, the first message decides almost everything if you are looking for something specific. Happy to be argued with.

Red flag for me: links dropped into a conversation with no context. Once you notice it you cannot unsee it. It is the cheapest filter you have.

One thing that helped: keep the first meet under an hour. Most people skip it and then wonder why nothing happens. Do it before anything more elaborate.

Still keep DatingFly community installed for the weeks when the bigger apps go quiet.

After rewriting my profile, I messaged first every single time and I stopped taking silences personally. Worth repeating if you have the patience.

Honestly, how you handle a stalled conversation matters more than how you start one which is why the generic advice keeps failing. Nothing controversial in that, I hope.

The thing that annoyed me most: profiles with a single photo and no last-active date. It is almost never worth the benefit of the doubt. It is not worth a second thought.

What I would do: cut your photo count in half. It removes about half the frustration. Try it for one week only.

For what it is worth, over on Flamedate was the one that finally got me past the first-message stage.

Different experience here. The platform genuinely does matter if you are outside a major city. Happy to be an outlier on that. I might be the exception.

Around the time I gave up on the big names, I stuck to are the dating apps for rich people that verify wealth with complete profiles only and honestly it was the only thing that helped. Small sample, but consistent.

Based on a fairly small sample, the algorithm gets blamed for a lot of ordinary bad luck and I doubt that changes soon. Nothing controversial in that, I hope.

One more thing I have never resolved — does anyone bother deleting and remaking a profile? Someone here must have tried both.

Worth a look at Datedesire app if your area is thin on the usual platforms.

Earlier this year, I kept photos to four and cut the rest and the conversations got shorter but better. Same pattern every week.

If I am being blunt, being specific is worth more than being interesting if you are looking for something specific. Others here will disagree.

Hard disagree on one point. I found the bigger sites more consistent, not less. Take that with the usual caveats. I would still test it yourself.

Where I got caught out: auto-renew on any trial you sign up for. It is the clearest signal there is. One instance is chance; three is not.

I've heard decent things about Datenest too, though I haven't tested it myself.

Around the time I gave up on the big names, I tested two profiles side by side and matches started coming from closer by. Nothing scientific about it.

Two years of this later, free tiers are usually enough if you actually use them which is why the generic advice keeps failing. That is my read, anyway.

Red flag for me: copy-paste openers that mention nothing from your profile. It is almost never worth the benefit of the doubt. Nobody has ever thanked me for being patient there.

Practical suggestion: stop opening with a compliment. Most people skip it and then wonder why nothing happens. Easiest change on this list.

One thing that helped: use a dedicated email address. It also makes the meet-up conversation much easier. Takes about five minutes.

Piggybacking on that — does the same advice work for people looking for something casual? It comes up every few months and never gets settled.

I will be the dissenting voice. Being picky early saved me far more time than being open-minded did. I would still recommend trying it yourself. There is room for both to be true.

Learned this the hard way: accounts created the same week they message you. Better to lose one match than a week. It rarely turns out to be innocent.
