I stopped bothering with three different free texting dating sites and I still cannot tell if it is me or the platform. My real question is how much of this is down to the profile itself when you have already tried the obvious options.
That has not been my experience at all. The niche options were quieter to the point of being useless. Your experience may well differ. I might be the exception.
A while back, I replied only to messages with an actual question in them and it saved me a lot of pointless typing. Nothing scientific about it.
Respectfully, I read it differently. Photos did more for me than anything I wrote. Worth testing both ways. Take it as a counterweight, not a correction.
Based on a fairly small sample, reply rates say more about timing than about looks for anyone starting from scratch. I hold that loosely.

If nothing else, do this: give any new platform a fortnight before judging it. It is the only advice here I would give twice. Zero cost to test it.
