Bit of a long shot, but: Are there any new free dating apps that use AI for matchmaking? No wrong answers here.

I have had mixed results with a few smaller new free dating apps and it got expensive fast. The bit I cannot work out is whether reply rates are as bad as they look if you are being reasonably picky.

• Assess the distance filter default without exception on any platform you are considering
• Question the last-active timestamp at the start before writing a single message
• Note how reporting actually works on day one before writing a single message
• Double-check what the free tier really includes at the start in the first day or two

Based on a fairly small sample, how you handle a stalled conversation matters more than how you start one and I doubt that changes soon. It is a boring answer and a true one.

Careful with anything that wants payment before you can read a reply. It saves a lot of wasted messages. It is the cheapest filter you have.

Switched over to Luvdate community after getting nowhere on the big names.
