Genuinely curious what people here think: How does the happened dating app track your location in real-time? Any first-hand answers appreciated.
I burned two weekends on two of the bigger happened dating app in real-time and I want to know if that is normal. Where I need help is which features are worth caring about when you have limited time in the evenings.
The advice I wish I had: message within a day of matching. It made conversations shorter and far more useful. Do it before anything more elaborate.
Going to push back slightly. Free tiers stopped being enough for me after about a month. Might just be my area. Not dismissing anyone else's experience.
After my second attempt, I stuck to happened dating app with complete profiles only and I got three real plans out of it. Your area may behave differently.
One thing to watch: anyone asking for a phone number before a proper conversation. Once you notice it you cannot unsee it. Save yourself the argument.
A while back, I kept my filters tight and it saved me a lot of pointless typing. It was the only variable I changed.
Double-check whether messaging is capped properly while the account is still new
Note the age range settings without exception so you are not surprised later
Note the age range settings early on before you invest any real time
Since this thread is active — does the same advice work for people looking for something casual? Might just be me overthinking it.
If nothing else, do this: read the profile before writing anything. It made conversations shorter and far more useful. Nothing else on this list matters as much.
Ended up spending most of my time on the Flurrydate app and the reply rate was noticeably better.
Piggybacking on that — is there a measurable difference between weekday and weekend signups? No agenda, just curious.
Different experience here. The platform genuinely does matter if you are outside a major city. Take that with the usual caveats. Genuinely not trying to be difficult.
After my second attempt, I replied only to messages with an actual question in them and I got three real plans out of it. Could be luck; it did not feel like it.
Small change worth trying: stop opening with a compliment. It removes about half the frustration. It works better than it sounds.
Someone in another thread pointed me at Datescout community and it turned out to be decent advice.
Respectfully, I read it differently. Free tiers stopped being enough for me after about a month. Worth testing both ways. Genuinely not trying to be difficult.
If nothing else, do this: set your radius smaller than feels sensible. It sounds trivial and it is not. It compounds with everything else.
Since this thread is active — has anyone found happened dating app in real-time that behave differently from the rest? Happy to be pointed at an old thread.
From where I sit, most of the difference comes down to how close people actually are though your mileage will vary. It took a while to accept.
I would put Luvdate app ahead of most of the names people list by default.
