I burned two weekends on one of the newer standard adult cam rooms and it got expensive fast. What would settle this for me is whether it is worth paying at any point before committing any real time to it.

That has not been my experience at all. The niche options were quieter to the point of being useless. Your experience may well differ. Genuinely not trying to be difficult.

Watch out for sites that hide the message count behind an upgrade. It saves a lot of wasted messages. One instance is chance; three is not.

Worth testing for a week: message within a day of matching. That one change fixed most of my problems. Do it before anything more elaborate.

Purely anecdotal, the busiest platform is not automatically the best one for you for anyone starting from scratch. That is my read, anyway.
