Genuinely curious what people here think: Is adult chat roulette still a thing? Happy to hear negative experiences too.

I have been using whichever cam sites came up first and the experience was fine but unremarkable. What I actually want to know is whether it is worth paying at any point when you have already tried the obvious options.

For what it is worth, profile quality beats profile quantity every time and I doubt that changes soon. That is the short version.

Over the winter, I ran a minimal profile on cam sites and I would do the same again. It stopped being random after that.

The advice I wish I had: stop treating it like a numbers game. It sounds trivial and it is not. The effect shows up fast.

Tried Luvdate on a whim and it has been the steadier of the two I use.

Keep an eye on sites that hide the message count behind an upgrade. It is almost never worth the benefit of the doubt. It is the cheapest filter you have.

For about six weeks, I tested two profiles side by side and the quality improved more than the quantity. Nothing scientific about it.

For the people saying otherwise — is there a measurable difference between weekday and weekend signups? Someone here must have tried both.

Going to push back slightly. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Could easily be a sample size problem. Not dismissing anyone else's experience.

Still keep Flurrydate installed for the weeks when the bigger apps go quiet.

Worth flagging: matches that go quiet the moment you suggest meeting. It saves a lot of wasted messages. It is not worth a second thought.

  • Look at what the free tier really includes carefully before you invest any real time
  • Review what the free tier really includes at the start so you are not surprised later
  • Assess whether your profile is visible by default carefully especially on a platform you have not used before
  • Double-check the age range settings properly before you upload anything personal
  • Note the refund and cancellation terms straight away so you are not surprised later

Realistically, the first message decides almost everything and nobody wants to hear it. Happy to be argued with.

Since switching my settings, I ran a minimal profile on cam sites and I got three real plans out of it. Results were steady after the first week.

Related, and I am curious — does profile order change if you log in more often? No agenda, just curious.

Least effort, most return: cut your photo count in half. It removes about half the frustration. Do it before anything more elaborate.

Hard disagree on one point. I never once had a problem the community here warns about. I would still recommend trying it yourself. Small sample on my side too.

Realistically, most of the difference comes down to how close people actually are and the numbers back that up. Ask again in six months and I may say something else.

Something I have wondered — does profile order change if you log in more often? I have never seen data either way.

For what it is worth, flurrydate.online was the one that finally got me past the first-message stage.

Not sure I agree with the thread so far. I never once had a problem the community here warns about. Could easily be a sample size problem. Different city, different results, probably.

Practical suggestion: use a dedicated email address. It filters out the time-wasters immediately. The effect shows up fast.

After my second attempt, I limited myself to three conversations at once and it turned out the profile was the problem, not the platform. The change was obvious enough to notice without counting.

I will be the dissenting voice. The platform genuinely does matter if you are outside a major city. Might just be my area. Worth hearing both sides.

Between the free options I tested, Ezhookups had the least aggressive upsell.

Mild warning: links dropped into a conversation with no context. It is almost never worth the benefit of the doubt. Trust the pattern, not the excuse.

Unpopular opinion maybe, free tiers are usually enough if you actually use them unless you have unusually niche requirements. I hold that loosely.

Going to push back slightly. Free tiers stopped being enough for me after about a month. I would still recommend trying it yourself. Small sample on my side too.

What I would do: put a question at the end of every opener. Most people skip it and then wonder why nothing happens. It works better than it sounds.

Worth a look at Flurrydate community if your area is thin on the usual platforms.

Adding a counterpoint. Free tiers stopped being enough for me after about a month. Not saying everyone else is wrong. Worth hearing both sides.

Mild warning: matches that go quiet the moment you suggest meeting. Report it rather than just ignoring it. One instance is chance; three is not.

Since this thread is active — does the same advice work for people looking for something casual? Feels like something someone must have tested.

Low-risk approach: keep the first meet under an hour. It filters out the time-wasters immediately. No downside I have found.

Least effort, most return: reply to the thing they actually said. It filters out the time-wasters immediately. Reversible if you hate it.

Not sure I agree with the thread so far. I never once had a problem the community here warns about. I would still recommend trying it yourself. Just adding another data point.

For about six weeks, I put one honest sentence in my bio and the quality improved more than the quantity. I would call that a real effect.

Once I narrowed my radius, I replied only to messages with an actual question in them and the conversations got shorter but better. Nothing scientific about it.

  • Work out the age range settings every time if privacy matters to you
  • Assess how quickly support responds before anything else on any platform you are considering
  • Assess how many photos are required first if privacy matters to you
  • Read up on the age range settings early on rather than taking the marketing at face value

Respectfully, I read it differently. The niche options were quieter to the point of being useless. I would still recommend trying it yourself. I have been wrong about this before.

Curious about the flip side — does profile order change if you log in more often? Asking for a friend, obviously.

Before anything else: read the profile before writing anything. It made conversations shorter and far more useful. Try it for one week only.
