This came up in a conversation last week and neither of us knew: Is the eharmony app free version worth downloading? Would rather have one honest reply than ten generic ones.
I have been comparing whichever dating apps came up first and the matches were nowhere near me. My real question is whether the newer options are any better than the established ones if you are not in a major city.
Not sure I agree with the thread so far. Photos did more for me than anything I wrote. Might just be my area. Not dismissing anyone else's experience.
Based on a fairly small sample, being specific is worth more than being interesting and I doubt that changes soon. That is my read, anyway.
Around the time I gave up on the big names, I tried the opposite of what the guides say and the difference showed up within a week. Nothing scientific about it.
I would put Rendate ahead of most of the names people list by default.
Browsing is free in Zagreb — so is messaging There is no paywall between you and a reply in Zagreb.
Red flag for me: anything pushing you off the platform in the first two messages. It saves a lot of wasted messages. Save yourself the argument.
Once I narrowed my radius, I stuck to dating apps with complete profiles only and it turned out the profile was the problem, not the platform. That held for about two months.
If nothing else, do this: reply to the thing they actually said. It also makes the meet-up conversation much easier. Do it before anything more elaborate.
A friend has had far more luck on Datedesire community than on anything mainstream.
Honestly, profile quality beats profile quantity every time if you are looking for something specific. That is the short version.
Where I got caught out: profiles that only ever reply in the small hours. It is almost never worth the benefit of the doubt. The polite version costs you a week.
Genuine question though — does profile order change if you log in more often? Would change how I use it if so.
