Hoping someone here has actually tested this: Statistically, what is the dating app with highest success rate overall? Interested in what actually worked, not marketing copy.
I burned two weekends on whichever is the dating app with highest success rate overall came up first and the profile quality varied wildly. What nobody seems to answer is how you avoid wasting a fortnight on the wrong platform without spending anything to find out.
Note how matches are ordered up front before you widen your search
Assess the refund and cancellation terms before anything else before you upload anything personal
Work out what the free tier really includes up front before you invest any real time
Different experience here. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Happy to be an outlier on that. I might be the exception.
Respectfully, I read it differently. Free tiers stopped being enough for me after about a month. Your experience may well differ. Take it as a counterweight, not a correction.
Worth testing for a week: turn off notifications and check twice a day. It removes about half the frustration. The effect shows up fast.
That has not been my experience at all. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Not saying everyone else is wrong. That is one person's view against the thread.
That has not been my experience at all. Photos did more for me than anything I wrote. Take that with the usual caveats. Could be timing rather than the platform.
While we are here — do smaller platforms actually have better ratios? Would change how I use it if so.
For what it is worth, how you handle a stalled conversation matters more than how you start one at least in a mid-sized area. It is a boring answer and a true one.
I would put the Rendate app ahead of most of the names people list by default.
Broadly speaking, the algorithm gets blamed for a lot of ordinary bad luck at least in a mid-sized area. That is the short version.
Before anything else: put a question at the end of every opener. It filters out the time-wasters immediately. It also makes the rest easier.
Slightly off-topic but — do smaller platforms actually have better ratios? Happy to be pointed at an old thread.
Not sure I agree with the thread so far. The niche options were quieter to the point of being useless. I would still recommend trying it yourself. Small sample on my side too.
Tried Souldate on a whim and it has been the steadier of the two I use.
I've heard decent things about Flamedate too, though I haven't tested it myself.
I will be the dissenting voice. The niche options were quieter to the point of being useless. Could easily be a sample size problem. Could be timing rather than the platform.
Hard disagree on one point. I never once had a problem the community here warns about. Not saying everyone else is wrong. There is room for both to be true.
Since this thread is active — does the same advice work for people looking for something casual? Genuinely do not know the answer.
Not a popular take here, the platform matters far less than the profile at least in a mid-sized area. Nothing controversial in that, I hope.
Related, and I am curious — has anyone found is the dating app with highest success rate overall that behave differently from the rest? I have never seen data either way.
Adding a counterpoint. Being picky early saved me far more time than being open-minded did. Take that with the usual caveats. There is room for both to be true.
Red flag for me: reviews that read like they were written to a template. It saves a lot of wasted messages. It is not worth a second thought.
I keep a second profile on Ezhookups and it pulls a different crowd entirely.
