Genuinely curious what people here think: What are the most popular dating apps among college students this year? Real experiences only, please.

I went in optimistic about whichever most popular dating apps came up first and I am not convinced it was worth the effort. The part that matters to me is whether the same advice applies outside big cities without making it a second job.

Having tried most of them, the first message decides almost everything which is why the generic advice keeps failing. Make of that what you will.

That has not been my experience at all. I found the bigger sites more consistent, not less. Might just be my area. Open to changing my mind on it.

Something nobody mentions: accounts created the same week they message you. That pattern has been consistent for me across platforms. The cost of being wrong is low.

Realistically, the platform matters far less than the profile at least in a mid-sized area. Feel free to prove me wrong.
