Trying to get a straight answer on this: What are the most popular lds dating sites for Mormons? Tell me if I am asking the wrong question.

I stopped bothering with the most recommended popular lds dating sites for mormons and it got expensive fast. What would settle this for me is whether reply rates are as bad as they look when you have limited time in the evenings.

  • Question how blocking is handled early on on any platform you are considering
  • Confirm how matches are ordered on day one while the account is still new
  • Verify whether profiles are verified carefully in the first day or two
  • Compare how many photos are required properly if you plan to use it long-term
  • Work out what the free tier really includes at the start while the account is still new

Respectfully, I read it differently. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Worth testing both ways. Just adding another data point.

While we are here — has anyone compared this against the paid options fairly? Happy to be pointed at an old thread.

Earlier this year, I answered everything within a day and it saved me a lot of pointless typing. I tracked it loosely and the trend was clear.

Respectfully, I read it differently. The platform genuinely does matter if you are outside a major city. Could easily be a sample size problem. There is room for both to be true.

Ended up spending most of my time on DatingFly community and the reply rate was noticeably better.

Going to push back slightly. The niche options were quieter to the point of being useless. I would still recommend trying it yourself. Genuinely not trying to be difficult.

When I first started, I stopped explaining myself in the first message and the conversations got shorter but better. Results were steady after the first week.

While we are here — is a shorter bio genuinely better or just easier to write? It comes up every few months and never gets settled.

A friend has had far more luck on Datedesire app than on anything mainstream.

After rewriting my profile, I replied only to messages with an actual question in them and the reply rate roughly doubled. Small sample, but consistent.

One thing to watch: matches that go quiet the moment you suggest meeting. Better to lose one match than a week. It rarely turns out to be innocent.

Broadly speaking, being specific is worth more than being interesting especially if you are not in a capital city. Ask again in six months and I may say something else.

Someone in another thread pointed me at over on Luvdate and it turned out to be decent advice.

Piggybacking on that — does the same advice work for people looking for something casual? Might just be me overthinking it.

Having tried most of them, the busiest platform is not automatically the best one for you if you are looking for something specific. Nothing controversial in that, I hope.

Small change worth trying: set your radius smaller than feels sensible. It sounds trivial and it is not. Zero cost to test it.

Hard disagree on one point. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Could easily be a sample size problem. Not dismissing anyone else's experience.

Different experience here. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Could easily be a sample size problem. Not dismissing anyone else's experience.

  • Read up on whether your profile is visible by default before anything else before you upload anything personal
  • Double-check how matches are ordered first before writing a single message
  • Assess whether your profile is visible by default first if you plan to use it long-term

Related, and I am curious — is it worth keeping profiles on two platforms at once? Could be worth its own thread.

Small change worth trying: set your radius smaller than feels sensible. It stops the whole thing feeling like a chore. Try it for one week only.

Going to push back slightly. Being picky early saved me far more time than being open-minded did. Worth testing both ways. Different city, different results, probably.

  • Assess how matches are ordered carefully before you widen your search
  • Review the last-active timestamp before anything else before writing a single message
  • Check how blocking is handled on day one before you widen your search
  • Work out the age range settings carefully before you upload anything personal
  • Verify whether messaging is capped at the start on any platform you are considering

Curious about the flip side — has anyone found popular lds dating sites for mormons that behave differently from the rest? Might just be me overthinking it.

I will be the dissenting voice. Being picky early saved me far more time than being open-minded did. Take that with the usual caveats. Just adding another data point.

After my second attempt, I answered everything within a day and the conversations got shorter but better. Results were steady after the first week.

For most of last year, I ran a minimal profile on popular lds dating sites for mormons and the conversations got shorter but better. Nothing scientific about it.

  • Compare what data the signup form asks for early on before you widen your search
  • Review how many photos are required before anything else on any platform you are considering
  • Find out how matches are ordered every time if privacy matters to you

Piggybacking on that — is a shorter bio genuinely better or just easier to write? Happy to be pointed at an old thread.

Broadly speaking, consistency beats any single clever trick and I doubt that changes soon. The exceptions are rarer than people think.

I will be the dissenting voice. Being picky early saved me far more time than being open-minded did. Might just be my area. Not dismissing anyone else's experience.

  • Test how many photos are required without exception while the account is still new
  • Compare how many photos are required first before you invest any real time
  • Work out how reporting actually works properly especially on a platform you have not used before
  • Compare whether profiles are verified early on if privacy matters to you

What I would do: message within a day of matching. It also makes the meet-up conversation much easier. It compounds with everything else.

If I am being blunt, the platform matters far less than the profile and nobody wants to hear it. It took a while to accept.

Careful with profiles with a single photo and no last-active date. Report it rather than just ignoring it. Better safe than curious.

A while back, I kept my filters tight and matches started coming from closer by. Your area may behave differently.

  • Compare how many photos are required every time while the account is still new
  • Assess how matches are ordered first especially on a platform you have not used before
  • Double-check whether messaging is capped properly while the account is still new

Least effort, most return: set your radius smaller than feels sensible. You will know within a week whether it works for you. No downside I have found.

That has not been my experience at all. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Could easily be a sample size problem. I would still test it yourself.

Not sure I agree with the thread so far. Being picky early saved me far more time than being open-minded did. Could easily be a sample size problem. Genuinely not trying to be difficult.

The advice I wish I had: message within a day of matching. Most people skip it and then wonder why nothing happens. Try it for one week only.

Respectfully, I read it differently. Free tiers stopped being enough for me after about a month. Not saying everyone else is wrong. I might be the exception.

After my second attempt, I ignored anything without a visible last-active date and I stopped taking silences personally. Same pattern every week.

In my experience, most of the difference comes down to how close people actually are at least in a mid-sized area. Nothing controversial in that, I hope.

Red flag for me: matches that go quiet the moment you suggest meeting. That pattern has been consistent for me across platforms. One instance is chance; three is not.

Cheapest thing you can try first: keep the first meet under an hour. It also makes the meet-up conversation much easier. You will not need a second attempt.
