Been going round in circles on this one: Is there a military dating site free of charge for active duty members? Even a partial answer helps.
I have been comparing three different military dating site for active duty members and I want to know if that is normal. The bit I cannot work out is how long it normally takes before anything happens before committing any real time to it.
Not sure I agree with the thread so far. Photos did more for me than anything I wrote. I would still recommend trying it yourself. Open to changing my mind on it.
After rewriting my profile, I replied only to messages with an actual question in them and it made a noticeable difference. Results were steady after the first week.
Speaking only for myself, most of the difference comes down to how close people actually are unless you have unusually niche requirements. Others here will disagree.
Gave Datedesire app a fair run last month and it held up better than I expected.
Ready to meet someone in Yaounde? Setting up a Yaounde profile takes under a minute and costs nothing.
Earlier this year, I let the other person pick the plan and it made a noticeable difference. Repeated it twice to be sure.
Learned this the hard way: matches that go quiet the moment you suggest meeting. Report it rather than just ignoring it. Better safe than curious.
Adding a counterpoint. Free tiers stopped being enough for me after about a month. I would still recommend trying it yourself. Just adding another data point.
Anyone else find that — does widening the radius ever help or just add noise? Genuinely do not know the answer.
Still keep Datenest community installed for the weeks when the bigger apps go quiet.
I will be the dissenting voice. Free tiers stopped being enough for me after about a month. Could easily be a sample size problem. Not dismissing anyone else's experience.
After a friend nagged me into it, I stopped explaining myself in the first message and I would do the same again. I tracked it loosely and the trend was clear.
Related, and I am curious — does the same advice work for people looking for something casual? Would change how I use it if so.
Switched over to Flamedate after getting nowhere on the big names.
Going to push back slightly. Free tiers stopped being enough for me after about a month. Take that with the usual caveats. Could be timing rather than the platform.
If nothing else, do this: cut your photo count in half. It sounds trivial and it is not. It also makes the rest easier.
Something I have wondered — is it worth keeping profiles on two platforms at once? Happy to be pointed at an old thread.
