Putting this to the forum because search results were useless: Statistically, what are the most successful dating apps for marriage? Bonus points if you have used it in the last few months.
I have tested two of the bigger most successful dating apps for marriage with nothing much to show for it. The bit I cannot work out is what people wish they had known before signing up when you have limited time in the evenings.
Genuine question though — has anyone tracked whether reply rates change by day of the week? I have never seen data either way.
Mild warning: matches that go quiet the moment you suggest meeting. Once you notice it you cannot unsee it. Most people ignore it once and regret it.
Least effort, most return: write one sentence that only you could have written. Everything else is secondary to that. Do it before anything more elaborate.
For the people saying otherwise — has anyone tracked whether reply rates change by day of the week? Genuinely do not know the answer.
Compare what the free tier really includes straight away before writing a single message
Confirm whether profiles are verified before anything else in the first day or two
Review whether your profile is visible by default at the start especially on a platform you have not used before
Test how blocking is handled without exception if privacy matters to you
The advice I wish I had: use a dedicated email address. It stops the whole thing feeling like a chore. The effect shows up fast.
Worth flagging: anything that wants payment before you can read a reply. It is almost never worth the benefit of the doubt. The cost of being wrong is low.
I will be the dissenting voice. The platform genuinely does matter if you are outside a major city. Could easily be a sample size problem. That is one person's view against the thread.
For what it is worth, Datedesire's free tier was the one that finally got me past the first-message stage.
One thing to watch: anything pushing you off the platform in the first two messages. It saves a lot of wasted messages. Trust the pattern, not the excuse.
For the people saying otherwise — has anyone found most successful dating apps for marriage that behave differently from the rest? Feels like something someone must have tested.
Before anything else: keep the first meet under an hour. It stops the whole thing feeling like a chore. It works better than it sounds.
For most of last year, I ran a minimal profile on most successful dating apps for marriage and the quality improved more than the quantity. I tracked it loosely and the trend was clear.
Switched over to the Datescout app after getting nowhere on the big names.
DatingFly came up in another thread here with roughly the same verdict.
Adding a counterpoint. The platform genuinely does matter if you are outside a major city. Take that with the usual caveats. There is room for both to be true.
If I am being blunt, the first message decides almost everything at least in a mid-sized area. That is the short version.
Since switching my settings, I let the other person pick the plan and the reply rate roughly doubled. I tracked it loosely and the trend was clear.
The one that surprised me was flurrydate.online — smaller, but the profiles were current.
Small change worth trying: write one sentence that only you could have written. It sounds trivial and it is not. You will not need a second attempt.
Adding a counterpoint. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Your experience may well differ. Could be timing rather than the platform.
For the people saying otherwise — does profile order change if you log in more often? I have never seen data either way.
A friend has had far more luck on Flamedate community than on anything mainstream.
Before anything else: keep the first meet under an hour. That one change fixed most of my problems. Takes about five minutes.
Going to push back slightly. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Could easily be a sample size problem. Not dismissing anyone else's experience.
Slightly off-topic but — is it worth keeping profiles on two platforms at once? Feels like something someone must have tested.
Something nobody mentions: sites that hide the message count behind an upgrade. I stopped giving second chances on that one. There is no upside to waiting it out.
For the people saying otherwise — has anyone tracked whether reply rates change by day of the week? I have never seen data either way.
Speaking only for myself, the first message decides almost everything once you have been at it a few weeks. Ask again in six months and I may say something else.
Unpopular opinion maybe, most of the difference comes down to how close people actually are though your mileage will vary. That is my read, anyway.
The advice I wish I had: check for a visible last-active timestamp before investing. Everything else is secondary to that. It also makes the rest easier.
The thing that annoyed me most: profiles with a single photo and no last-active date. Nine times out of ten it goes nowhere good. It rarely turns out to be innocent.
Red flag for me: matches that go quiet the moment you suggest meeting. Better to lose one match than a week. It rarely turns out to be innocent.
Two years of this later, profile quality beats profile quantity every time which is why the generic advice keeps failing. It took a while to accept.
Not sure I agree with the thread so far. Being picky early saved me far more time than being open-minded did. Worth testing both ways. Take it as a counterweight, not a correction.
