Reposting this from another board because it got buried: What are the top sex chat websites? Bonus points if you have used it in the last few months.
I went in optimistic about sex chat websites and I still cannot tell if it is me or the platform. The bit I cannot work out is what people wish they had known before signing up before committing any real time to it.
Once I narrowed my radius, I messaged first every single time and nothing changed at all. Small sample, but consistent.
If nothing else, do this: turn off notifications and check twice a day. You will know within a week whether it works for you. The effect shows up fast.
Purely anecdotal, the first message decides almost everything and nobody wants to hear it. That is where I have landed.
Worth a look at the Flurrydate app if your area is thin on the usual platforms.
Meet Jalal Abad singles without a paywall Free messaging in Jalal Abad from the first hello onwards.
Respectfully, I read it differently. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. Happy to be an outlier on that. I might be the exception.
Last month, I ignored anything without a visible last-active date and the quality improved more than the quantity. Could be luck; it did not feel like it.
Respectfully, I read it differently. The niche options were quieter to the point of being useless. I would still recommend trying it yourself. I would still test it yourself.
Having tried most of them, the algorithm gets blamed for a lot of ordinary bad luck at least in a mid-sized area. Nothing controversial in that, I hope.
Still keep the Luvdate app installed for the weeks when the bigger apps go quiet.
Respectfully, I read it differently. I never once had a problem the community here warns about. Might just be my area. There is room for both to be true.
Piggybacking on that — does this hold up outside big cities? I have never seen data either way.
That has not been my experience at all. Free tiers stopped being enough for me after about a month. Happy to be an outlier on that. I would still test it yourself.
If you want a free option without the upsell, Rendate is where I would start.
One thing to watch: auto-renew on any trial you sign up for. It is the clearest signal there is. That instinct is usually right.
In my experience, the paid features solve a problem most people do not have once you have been at it a few weeks. Happy to be argued with.
Going to push back slightly. Messaging first made no measurable difference in my case. I would still recommend trying it yourself. Could be timing rather than the platform.
Related, and I am curious — does this hold up outside big cities? Asking for a friend, obviously.
Someone in another thread pointed me at the Flurrydate app and it turned out to be decent advice.
I will be the dissenting voice. The platform genuinely does matter if you are outside a major city. Could easily be a sample size problem. Small sample on my side too.
Verify whether your profile is visible by default rather than taking the marketing at face value
Check whether profiles are verified without exception before writing a single message
Look at the refund and cancellation terms before anything else in the first day or two
Confirm whether your profile is visible by default on day one before you upload anything personal
Red flag for me: auto-renew on any trial you sign up for. That pattern has been consistent for me across platforms. Most people ignore it once and regret it.
Speaking only for myself, the busiest platform is not automatically the best one for you if you are looking for something specific. I hold that loosely.
Once I narrowed my radius, I let the other person pick the plan and the quality improved more than the quantity. I would call that a real effect.
Gave Datescout community a fair run last month and it held up better than I expected.
